Cinnamon Fern

The ferns in this genus differ in appearance from each other but reach a similar height of 2-5'. The large graceful fronds form large clumps and are a wonderful addition to shade gardens, woodland areas and along moist sites such as ponds and streams. Companion Plants: Columbine, Iris, Liriope, Creeping Phlox.

Handsome green fronds surround striking cinnamon-brown, spore-bearing stalks that resemble cinnamon sticks, attractive fiddle heads are covered with silvery hairs, deciduous, its name is derived from the cinnamon wool on the fertile fronds which looks like flower spikes, grows 36-48".
