Echinacea (ek-i-nay'-see-uh)

Coneflower

These long-blooming purple, rose or white daisies have coppery maroon centers and attract butterflies to a wide range of landscape settings. Tolerates dry, poor soils; easy to grow. Excellent cut flowers. Echinacea comes from a Greek word for hedge hog referring to the prickly scales of the flower. Companion Plants: Hemerocallis, Ornamental Grasses, Pervoskia, Liatris, Monarda.

Unique inflorescences of deep red purple ray florets that are spread out perpendicular to the 30" stem with lime green centers giving a green eyed appearance.
